James 2:12, “So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.”
In the world, there is a movement to reject the concept of the Creator God as represented in the Bible. For if there is a Creator, then we are accountable to Him for our life. If the world acknowledges God or not, does not negate the reality that there is a God in heaven that we must all stand before. In Hebrews 9:27, we learn that all men will one day stand before the Lord in Judgment.
As a result of the coming day when we will stand before God and give an account, we must be willing to live our life accordingly. A few years ago, a popular slogan was, “Live your life so that the preacher won’t have to lie at your funeral.” But even better is “Live your life so that you won’t have to be ashamed at the judgment.”
When Christ was here, He told His disciples, “If ye love me, keep my commandments” (John 14:15). The greatest commandment was to love God, but the second was “like unto it.” We are also called to love others. In John 15:12 Christ says, “This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.” Why? Because one day, we will all stand before the Lord and give an account to God. “So speak ye, and so do...”
